It’s a cycling tour that since May 5th<\/sup> of 2016 has filled with magic this city.<\/p>

When is the night bike route of Merida?<\/strong><\/h2>

The night bike route is a family and leisure activity in charge of Merida Council. This is thought for public of all ages. The only requirement to participate is to have a bike to explore the city.<\/p>

You don\u2019t have one? Don\u2019t worry! During this journey, the council provides you the possibility to rent one. Nobody is out, it\u2019s an activity that will develop the integration and health.<\/p>

The cost of rent depends on the type of bike, that goes from 50 pesos per hour. You will find normal, double, quadruple bikes and up to 7 people. There\u2019s place for everyone.<\/p>

If you want to participate, you will find this leisure bike way the first Saturday of every month in a schedule from 06:00 pm to 10:00 pm. It should be noted that the Merida bike route also has a Sunday edition<\/a>. In comparison to the night, this is performed once per month, the morning is performed on Sundays from 08:00 am to noon.<\/p>

What are the streets that cover the night tour?<\/strong><\/h2>

The night tour is smaller than Sunday one, even though this doesn\u2019t mean less fun. The night bike route of Merida starts in Monumento a Los Montejo, and finishes in Monumento a la Patria. In this last point, is performed a visual spectacle as \u201cvideo mapping\u201d for people to enjoy.<\/p>

Services<\/strong><\/h2>

As in most of leisure bike ways, this night ride also has several services for assistants. <\/p>

These are: bike school, hydration and safety points, portable toilets and first aid services. In special occasions, will be possible to enjoy of musical groups.<\/p>

We must mention that, according to authorities, the Saturday rides record greater flow than Sunday ones. For that, we ask you to be aware of it to avoid accidents.<\/p>

Among the rules you must follow, is to drive to a moderated speed, announce your change of lane and use reflective clothing. Remember that is a night event, so, you must make yourself as visible as you can.<\/p>
